What is Pomodorian?
Pomodorian is a modern, free Pomodoro timer that works on desktop and mobile browsers. Unlike traditional timers, Pomodorian features an AI Session Planner that breaks down your goals into focused tasks — so you spend less time planning and more time doing. It also includes built-in ambient sounds, focus analytics, and a beautiful dark mode interface.
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is created by Francesco Cirillo for a more productive way to work and study. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for "tomato", after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student.
How to use Pomodorian?
- 1.Add tasks to work on today, or use the AI Planner to generate them from your goals
- 2.Set estimated pomodoros for each task (1 pomodoro = 25 min of work)
- 3.Select a task to work on
- 4.Start the timer and focus on the task for 25 minutes
- 5.Take a 5-minute break when the alarm rings
- 6.After 4 pomodoros, take a longer 15-minute break
- 7.Repeat until you finish your tasks
